Advocate – Contact a local advocacy group or your legislator to support public transportation
- American Public Transportation (APTA)- Voices of Public Transit: A national organization that serves to lead through advocacy, innovation and information sharing. APTA works to ensure that public transportation is available and accessible for all Americans in communities across the country
- State General Assembly: Voice your support for public transportation by contacting your state representative and senator.
- Federal Legislator List: Communicate your opinion in general or on specific legislation that is currently being considered by congress.
Volunteer – Become a volunteer
Consider giving your time. Becoming a volunteer offers a critical service in the life of those who may have limited mobility and need assistance. A variety of opportunities are available including travel training and passenger assistance.
